COINED's Objectives
We strongly believe in mutual respect among different cultures and nations, and our study
abroad programs have been developed to offer opportunities of intercultural learning to students worldwide. Our participants
and host organizations not only benefit intellectually, but also at a human level.
Our goal is to contribute to society by approaching different countries and their people. We create opportunities for our
participants to travel and study abroad to experiment with new cultures and languages, achieving a unique way of intercultural learning.
To bridge the gap between different cultures and to promote cooperation within our society, COINED has also created a scholarships
program for students with poor resources to access education.

COINED's History
COINED was founded as a non-profit organization in 1971 in Cuxhaven, Germany, by a German and an Argentinean student who met while
doing a study abroad program in an American University.
These enterprising young people created an educational-cultural study abroad program for high school students from Germany and
Argentina. Later on, the organization grew adding other study abroad programs with the objective of promoting cultural and educational
interaction.
COINED currently has offices in Germany, Spain and Argentina, and it is represented throughout the world by partner agencies and
entities, and by our participants.
