Terms & Conditions COINED Spain Programs 2007
1. Registration
1.1) Registration to a COINED Spain program requires:
a) Sending the complete form and documents as required by each program.
b) Payment of a €150 application fee, which will be deducted from the total cost of the program when payment is
complete. c) Sending an authorization to charge a credit card or a confirmation of bank transfer.
1.2) To book a Spanish Course, sending the online form that is available on the Website www.coined-spain.org is enough.
For the other programs, the online form only accounts for pre-registration. To complete registration, the rest of the
documents and forms should be sent by e-mail, fax or regular mail.
1.3) The application fee can be send to the corresponding bank account by wire transfer or paid by credit card. COINED
cannot be held responsible for any bank fees; these must be covered by the participant.
1.4) Booking confirmation: COINED will confirm the reception of the application fee and the complete documentation via
e-mail, in order to confirm the participant’s registration to the program, after which we will begin with the placement
process and corresponding bookings.
1.5) Placement process after confirmation of the program:
- Internship Standard/Volunteering, UAB-COINED program: up to 8 weeks
- Customized internship: up to 10 weeks
- Teach Abroad program: up to 12 weeks
- Work & Travel program: depending on the season of the year and the candidate’s profile
- Au Pair program: depending on the season of the year and the candidate’s profile 1.6) Payment process: The total cost of the internship/volunteering program, UAB-COINED program and the Teach Abroad program must be paid upon confirmation of the placement/family. The cost of the Work & Travel program and the Au Pair
program must be paid before the arrival.
1.7) Reservation last minute, admission and changes: COINED reserves the right to accept or reject last minute
applications acceptance into a program or changes, and to apply corresponding extra charges incurred.
.8) Insurance: Participants must provide evidence of having suitable health, accident and civil responsibility coverage
during the total period of the program; otherwise, they must take one out.
2. Cancellations
2.1) If payment deadlines are not met, COINED reserves the right to cancel the program and retain the application fee (€150). All cancellations must be submitted in writing to COINED and the Cancellations Policy will be applied.
2.2) All refunds have a 10 % administrative charge over the amount refunded.
2.3) Cancellations will only be valid if sent by email to registration@intercoined.org, by fax, by telegram or by letter. In all
cases the Cancellations Policy will be applied.
2.4) Once a program has begun, no refunds will be made. A program begins with the first service provided by the
organization.
2.5) COINED cannot be held responsible for cancellations resulting from fortuitous events, acts of God, illness, or
personal reasons.
2.6) Each service booked in a program has its particular cancellation policy, and each case will be dealt with accordingly.
In the case of cancellations of special programs, offers, or packages, the Cancellation Policy for internships/volunteering
will be applied over the total cost of the program.

2.7) If the cancellation is made before the placement/family is confirmed, the Application Fee (€150) will be retained.
2.8) If the cancellation is made after the placement/family is confirmed and 12 weeks before the program is due to start,
the Application Fee (€150) plus 40 % of the internship/volunteering placement cost will be retained.
2.9) If the cancellation is made after the placement/family is confirmed and 6 weeks before the program is due to start,
the Application Fee (€150) plus 60 % of the internship/volunteering placement cost will be retained.
2.10) If the cancellation is made after the placement/family is confirmed and less than 6 weeks before the program is due
to start, the Application Fee (€150) plus 80 % of the internship/volunteering placement cost will be retained.
2.11) Once the internship/volunteering placement has been confirmed according to the requirements and profile of the
participant and of the host company/organization, no changes will be made. Once the host family has been confirmed
according to the requirements and profile of the participant and host family, no changes will be made.
Spanish Courses
2.12) If the cancellation is made three weeks before the start date, the Application Fee of the program (€150) will be
retained.
2.13) If the cancellation is made less than three weeks in advance to the start date, the Application Fee of the program
(€150) will be retained plus 30 % of the total cost of the program.
Work & Travel, Au Pair
2.14) If the cancellation is made before the start date, the Application Fee of the corresponding program will be retained (€150).
2.15) Once the program has been started, the total cost of the program will be retained.
3. Costs
3.1) The costs of the programs are published on the website www.coined-spain.org/Prices-Study-Abroad-Spain/dates-prices-spain.html, they are applicable from 1st January 2007 to
31st December 2007, and they replace any other previous version.
3.2) The cost of the internship/volunteering programs, language courses, Teach Abroad program, Work & Travel program
and Au Pair program is composed of:a) Application Fee
b) Placement costThe cost of the other booked services (insurance, accommodation search, etc.) must be paid at least three weeks before
the start date of the program.
3.3) The prices of our programs are calculated to provide our participants with the best service and quality; thus, no
modifications or discounts are made.
3.4) Special programs and offers are based on packages, specific situations, and are subject to availability. If they include
more than one service, these cannot be booked separately. In these cases the total cost of the program must be paid in
advanced.
4. Accommodation
4.1) COINED offers an Accommodation Search Service to facilitate the participation in our programs, acting merely as a
link between host/hostess and guest.
4.2) To guarantee service and infrastructure quality, all the accommodations have been carefully selected. Hosts and
guests must respect the rules of each accommodation.
4.3) The Accommodation Search Service fee must be paid before the search is started. No refunds will be made for
cancellation of the service once the search has started.
4.4) If the Accommodation Search Service is booked 4 weeks or less before the program is due to start, COINED does not
guarantee the availability of the accommodation requested. Bookings made in advance have priority.
4.5) It is the participant’s responsibility to coordinate and to inform the host of the arrival details with enough time in
advance.
4.6) Regardless of point 4.5, the participant must inform COINED at least a week in advance and in writing about his/her
arrival details (date, time, airport, airline, flight number).
4.7) COINED cannot be held responsible for the consequences derived from date and time changes not informed in
advance.
4.8) Once an accommodation has been confirmed according to the participant’s requests and subject to availability, no
changes will be made and the Accommodation Search Service will be concluded. Any costs incurred for changes in
accommodation will be assumed by the participant. |
