General Spanish Courses

This program is designed for students who want to combine their regular Spanish classes with cultural lessons. You can choose the Spanish course that best suits your needs:

  • Part-time Spanish Course: Includes 10 general Spanish language lessons + 5 Spanish culture lessons.
  • Intensive Spanish Course: Includes 20 general Spanish language lessons.
  • Intensive Plus Spanish Course: Includes 20 general Spanish language lessons + 5 Spanish culture lessons.
  • Super-Intensive Spanish Course: Includes 25 general Spanish language lessons + 5 Spanish culture lessons.
  • Individual Courses: You can arrange it according to your needs.

Special Spanish Courses

These programs are designed for students with at least an intermediate or high intermediate level of Spanish who want to learn about a specific topic, combining language study with Spanish history, art history and literature.


  • Spanish Language + Spanish History & Art History: this Spanish course pays special attention to the influence of Roman, Arabic and Jewish civilizations on Spanish culture. You will also study the impact of the unification of Spain during the reign of the Catholic Kings, follow Columbus' voyage to the New World and examine the history of the Hapsburg and Bourbon dynasties in some detail. You will also find out how the Romans and Moors impacted peninsular architecture, learn to identify the major Spanish styles such as the mudéjar, Renaissance and Baroque, and discover Spain's most representative painters from Goya to Velazquez, Picasso, Miró, Dalí, and others.

  • Spanish Language and Spanish Literature: this Spanish course identifies key literary trends from both sides of the Atlantic so as to differentiate the characteristics of important literary periods such as the Golden Age, the Romantic era, the Generation of 1927, the Contemporary Novel, and much more by analysing representative works from masters as varied as Cervantes, Lorca, Cela, García Márquez, Isabel Allende, Borges and Carlos Fuentes. With this Spanish course you will improve your professional language skills and acquire a deeper understanding of Spanish and Latin American cultures.

Spanish Programs in Spain

Business Spanish - Exam of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce

This program is designed for students and business professionals with an intermediate level of Spanish who want to improve their Spanish and learn business-related topics. This exam is officially recognized by the Chamber of Commerce of Madrid and the University of Alcalá. It is recognized internationally, which will give you many advantages in the labor market boosting your career potential.

The course includes business structure and financial management topics such as commercial relationships, banks, financial operations and EU financial institutions, marketing and advertising, international trade, stock market, tourism market, Spanish labor market, tax legislation, Spain and the European Union.

Students will receive documents with specific business vocabulary and informative handouts about Spain, Europe and Latin America economy. Materials such as newspaper articles, interviews, videos, brochures, advertisements, logos and business letters will be used to give students a global understanding of the Spanish business world, and a wide business and commercial vocabulary.


Students can get any of the following Diplomas:

  • Certificado Básico de Español de Negocios (Basic Level Certificate of Business Spanish).
  • Certificado Superior de Español de Negocios (Superior Level Certificate of Business Spanish).
  • Diploma de Español de Negocios (Diploma of Business Spanish)

Preparation for the D.E.L.E. Exam

D.E.L.E. -Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera or Diploma for Spanish as a Foreign Language- of the Instituto Cervantes, is the only certificate for non-native Spanish speakers that is officially recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education. This diploma has international value, useful for those who are going to study or work in a Spanish speaking country.

This special Spanish course is designed to prepare students for the DELE exam at any of its three levels:

  • Nivel Inicial: Certificate of an elementary level of Spanish.
  • Nivel Intermedio: Diploma of an intermediate level of Spanish.
  • Nivel Superior: Diploma of an advanced level of Spanish.

The exact dates and prices are established approximately a month beforehand by the "Instituto Cervantes". Enrolment fees for the exam are not included in the price of the course.

To complete your registration for the exam we need a copy of your passport, your personal details, and your current address at least one month prior to the exam. Please also include the level of exam.

The exam results will be known approximately five months later. Our school will receive a list with the names of the successful candidates; and shortly afterwards, we will tell the students their marks. Approximately one month later, the "Instituto Cervantes" will send the original certificate by mail to the student's home.

> Spanish Course Start Dates: 3rd April, 17th July & 9th October
> The exams are scheduled by the Instituto Cervantes and typically take place in May, August and November of each year.
