History
One of the characteristic features of Spain´s early history, is the succesive waves of different peoples who spread all over the Peninsula: The first were the Iberians, Libyan people from the south; later came the Celts, a typically Aryan people; and from the merging of the two there arose a new race, the Celtiberians, who, divided into several tribes. After that, the next to arrive, attracted by mining wealth, were the Phoenicians, and finally the Greek settlers, who founded several towns. The Roman people took over the control of the greek ones and the Second Punic War started, making the Romans have their victory. Their legacy: Latin language, Roman law, the municipality and the Christian religion.
